Tapered roller bearings are specially designed to withstand combined (radial and axial) loads. They have single-row, double-row and four-row tapered roller designs. Single row tapered roller bearings can bear radial load and axial load in only one direction. Under radial load, the axial component of the bearing will be affected and must be offset, so it is usually adjusted relative to the second bearing.
